Deacon Michael IbrahimDeacon Michael Ibrahim was born and raised in Damascus, Syria where he attended where he attended and graduated from high school. His father is a retired priest. Deacon Michael holds a Bachelor Degree from Damascus University (English Literature). Before immigrating to the U.S.A. in 1989, he was a parishioner of Saint Mary (Al Maryamieh church) and was a member of its choir. Upon arrival in the U.S.A, he joined and became a member of Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church in 1992. Deacon Michael has been active with the church since becoming a member, he served as a secretary of the St. John fellowship for two years and as a parish council member for two years. He co-chaired the festival committee twice and he started and opened a book store in the church that he currently manages. Deacon Michael is ordained as a Deacon on Christmas Eve in 2006 after completing the St. Stephen course in three years in 2006. Deacon Michael and his wife Roula has one daughter Catherine.
